Jennifer Brennan is the proud mother of three children. Her oldest son is profoundly deaf with cochlear implants. Jenn graduated from Quinnipiac University with a bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy. She currently works in the Trumbull school system.

Cheryl Brown is the proud parent of a son with hearing loss who is a recent college graduate. Brown works as an education consultant for the Bureau of Education and Services of the Blind. She is looking forward to her role as a Parent Guide.

What is the Guide By Your Side Program (GBYS)?
The "Guide By Your Side Program" is a parent matching program, linking parents of children throughout the state who have been newly identified as hard of hearing, deaf or deaf blind with trained and experienced "Parent Guides."

This is a free program offered to any Connecticut family who has a child that has recently been identified as hard of hearing, deaf or deaf blind.
